Each and every one of us is living an individual and complex life, with our own unique story. At Sonder Supplies we aim to reflect this by offering clothing and accessories where each carefully selected supplier tells their own tale, influencing our choices on what we buy and wear. Stories of care and craftsmanship, resonating with the culture of the various countries these products originate from. Tales of risk and adventure, of wonderful highs and woeful lows. Just like us, and at the same time totally different.
Nine Lives started on a dark night in Tokyo; it lives there and in Los Angeles. The brand creators, Kotaro Sato and Ian Segal, have already lived a number of different lives, and this is one they have consciously chosen of the nine they hope to be granted. In this life they indulge their passion for textiles, design and the construction and wearing of beautiful garments. They source custom fabrics from around the world, with a manufacturing home base in Japan that sets the standard of quality. In all, Nine Lives is a symphony of furiously dedicated craftsmen, all playing something weird and feral.
Created by Shinichi Haraki, who after many years of experience of design and production of Japanese denim and jeans decided in 1984 to combine this passion with his other love - motorcycles - and conceived a Japanese denim brand which is tough, rugged, classic and designed to be worn by Japanese bike riders. Haraki's wonderful recreations of vintage American styles of jeans, jackets, shirts and more, updated to suit the way we live today, now have a dedicated worldwide following - by both bikers and non-bikers.
At his workshop in Tapei, Taiwan, Kurt Chen creates an eclectic range of lifestyle accessories which are carefully thought out, from the sourcing of top quality leathers and selvedge canvas to the dyeing of materials and the impact on the environment. He makes both the first and second sample of each product himself, before letting two craftsmen, and select factories, make larger orders. Kurt insists on using his own new products from six months up to two years before offering them to customers to ensure that the designs and construction quality hold up to daily use.

GOOD ART HLWYD
Founded in 1990 in Los Angeles by Josh Warner, GOOD ART HLYWD started life as a small collection of jewellery that was first showcased at a cards table on Venice Beach. Their tenacity to do things well is the hallmark of everything that leaves their foundry and workshop on Venice Boulevard. "The best thing you never knew you needed".
In a little village at the mouth of the Lerez River in the northwest of Spain, sits a small family workshop run by third generation hosiers. This is where Thunders Love design and create their collection of artisan socks, with each pair being produced in small batches using traditional machinery and hand finishing methods. Using only the highest quality materials, such as Egyptian cotton, Thunders Love are one of the world's best-kept secrets when it comes to producing premium socks of distinction.
Wesco boots have been built in their Scappoose workshop for over 100 years. Every boot is made from the highest quality full grain leather, with the integrity of materials used throughout the boot building process being above reproach - unlike other boot makers - steel is favoured over plastic, and leather is always used instead of cork. Through skill, strength, and discipline, each Wesco boot is built using the same 155 step-by-step process that was used back in 1918, when they first appeared on the muddy slopes of Oregon's timber camps.

THE TWO EARS BRAND
In the summer of 2019, The Two Ears Brand started their first production run of high-quality, hand-printed 100% cotton selvedge bandanas, manufactured from start to finish in Japan. And we're proud to announce that we have become one of their very first stockists. Inspired by their collection of vintage pieces, old factory samples, and a decade of research, they decided to create a collection of luxury 1860s-1880s accurate bandanas. The name, Two Ears, is a clever play on words. In Japanese, the word for selvedge is "mimi", which also means "ear", and their vintage-inspired logo is two ears of corn.
